Qigong

Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese mind–body practice centred on posture, breathing, attention, and relaxation. It is a holistic system that supports physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being, with a focus on promoting balance within the human system.

Mind & Body

Physical

Qigong forms are gentle, flowing sequences of movements designed to stimulate circulation, strengthen muscles, and coordinate posture with breath. In contrast, standing meditation involves holding specific postures still, cultivating internal energy, stability, and alignment while the body rests in a mindful state.

Psychological

Qigong cultivates mindfulness and deep relaxation through focused attention on breath, posture, and movement. The practice of standing meditation enhances mental calm, reduces stress, and develops emotional resilience, allowing the mind to settle even while the body remains alert.

Science

Qigong is an ancient practice that continues to be studied by modern science. Research increasingly supports its benefits, showing positive effects on physical health, mental well-being, and overall balance, bridging traditional wisdom with contemporary evidence.
